In 2019, Geocore joined the RSK group, enabling it to offer complementary services from associated RSK companies, in addition to providing a financial catalyst to help the company grow. Our site investigation team undertakes wide-ranging investigations across multiple sectors, including transportation, utilities, renewables and energy. We have a specialist team for ground source drilling, rotary drilling, windowless sampling and subsidence investigations. We also undertake CCTV and drainage repairs and ground investigation work. We are proud of our ability to tackle deep drilling projects and commercial-scale ground loop installation projects.

Meet the fleet

We own and operate an extensive fleet of Comacchio rotary rigs, including two Comacchio GEO 205 rigs, two Comacchio GEO 602 rigs and Comacchio GEO 900 GT and GEO 909 GT geothermal rigs. Techniques include conventional coring, Geobore-S wireline coring, open hole drilling, down-the-hole hammer drilling and hollow stem auger with wireline sampling. Most rigs are multipurpose and capable of dynamic sampling through superficial deposits and standard penetration tests. Our larger rigs can drill deep ground source boreholes at a high rate of progress, reducing disruption and maximising efficiency.
